St. Joachim Is My Hero

Hello! My name is Joachim and as you can tell, St. Joachim is my hero. Obviously I was named after him, but who is he? Well, he is the grandfather of Jesus! His daughter was Mary, who became the Mother of Jesus. Pretty sweet, huh? I thought so too. Thanks for viewing my blog. I hope you like it. And it saves me from using up all my Mom's cell phone minutes trying to keep in touch with all my family and friends. Love you!

Happy Halloween

I'm going to ROCK all night long! Hey there friends...this is me dressed as St. Gregory, Patron saint of singers...AKA present day (holy) ROCK STAR!

Yeah, I thought you might want an up close shot of that mohawk!

And now you are invited to join our play group Halloween Party!
Me & Dominic..."I'll rock your peas off!"

Hannah Bear and Molly Ladybug...such darling girls!

A very curious cat ...Miss Izabella.

Mr. Matan, a leopard, with yours truly Mohawk Man, and Mr. Landry the Rooster...not a chicken! He is a boy...that means rooster...just ask his dad!

Lincoln, the very happy Jack 'o lantern...

Gabe...the red hot chili pepper...nothing is better than a little spice in your life!

And Miss Gwen, the Garden Nome...this wins my award for most creative idea.

Oh, yeah, I'm chilling at my photo shoot. A rocker's life is hard work!

Check out Farmer Carla as she shows off the fruit (vegetable) of her labor.

And meet St. Benedict...what a holy man. One year old and already a famous saint with a huge order of priests. And think--the Pope was named after him!

We also enjoyed the Halloween rewards of dressing like a burrito to get a free Chipotle. My Dad had a foil mohawk, my mom...(well, I think it was supposed to be a mohawk but it just looks like an alien...or maybe a foil chef's hat)...and I had a burrito foot. Very hard to walk with a burrito as a foot but hey, I'm not walking anyway!

And this is the Phelps family...I'm not sure what they are dressed as but Jared doesn't look super excited about it=(So, there are the highlights of my Halloween...the vigil of All Saints Day! In closing, I thought I'd leave you with a picture of the two pumkins I carved! Happy Halloween!!
